The transition to a deflationary model for $S aligns with our ongoing commitment to enhance value through strategic burns and limited supply. This could foster greater scarcity within the ecosystem.
$S becoming a deflationary token - response from @SonicLabs team
We recently floated the idea about turning $S into a deflationary token by permanently turning off the mint function and allowing token burns via transactions.
This move would make $S increasingly scarce, valuable, and in demand over time.
As promised, I raised this idea directly with @michaelfkong - and his exact response was:
“Maybe at some point.”
Not a definitive Yes, but definitely not a No either.
The fact that it’s on the radar is already bullish for the long term future of $S.
Another reason why I love @SonicLabs - the team.
