Is stepn for robotics? @openmind_agi app I have been using the om app for a while now, and I feel it has the potential to become the stepn of the robotics track. Openmind positions itself as Android for Robots, while the app is positioned as Uber for Robots. In simple terms, openmind is building the operating system for robots, and the purpose of the app is to allow users to call, provide, and evaluate robot services. It's noted that the app emphasizes "for everyday life," not industrial scenarios. The main function is for users to provide location data; just move around with the device without doing anything else. When the blue circle is full, switch to another location, and it will automatically recognize and reward points. It can be used in China! I won't take a screenshot to expose my location, haha. The purpose of this function is to collect RF data from WiFi, Bluetooth Low Energy, and cellular signals through crowdsourcing, building a high-precision positioning map that covers the globe. Next is the robot arena on the left, which features a video of a Yushu robot that users can evaluate. I understand this is the prototype of evaluating robot services mentioned earlier, and it should still be in development. Why do I say it has the potential to become stepn: 1. The project itself has extremely high attention and is poised to be a leader in robotics. Moreover, it is one of the few projects with a high level of enthusiasm in the Chinese community; I have to shout out to @ClaraChengGo for bringing om to my attention. 2. The participation method is brainless; just open the app and move your location to earn points. Other projects also collect data through mobile apps, but few are as brainless as om. 3. It has already gained traction; many people are scoring high on the leaderboard every day, but the number of participants is still not very large. In summary, just join the waitlist early and start earning points mindlessly. I will write a piece about om when I have time.
