On September 24th, during the KBW period, I had a conversation with a member of the @SonicLabs team. I conveyed the fact that, unlike the previous distribution for Korean Yappers, it was announced that rewards would be given up to the 500th place, not just the top 100. The team member mentioned that there might have been a communication error and requested related materials, which I provided. Also, with KBW and the upcoming Token2049, everyone has been so busy that I was worried whether they would be able to read the messages. Now that the first week of October has passed, the rewards for those Yappers are expected to be distributed, but the biggest concern was whether it could be resolved before then. Personally, I brought up the tweet from Lizamong, who shared related news, and I found and shared the original link as well. I also conveyed what the issue was and that it was decided to give rewards to 500 Yappers. Now, on September 30th, they said they confirmed the related news and communicated it to the team. They mentioned they would bring the decision to the community, so I hope for good news. I hope it gets resolved well. If that happens, I believe it will be a great Sonic!! I hope the Korean folks receive all their $S rewards! For those who want to Sonic, please interact with me. I don't know why, but my ranking has been dropping drastically ㅠㅠ Starting Sonic Yapping from today, hehe.
Yapping helps in talking with the teams. Yesterday, I visited the @SonicLabs booth. They didn't give out any special merchandise, so people didn't seem very interested. I had a brief conversation with one of the team members, and when I asked how things were going here, they expressed that the price of the $S token has been steadily declining, which seemed to be tough for them. Additionally, I wanted to get some feedback on the recent yapping, but I received an unexpected response. "Are you aware that the Korean community is quite upset about the yapping reward issue?" "Oh? Why, what happened?" "They promised a reward of 700K but reduced it to 350K, and instead of giving it to 500 people, they cut it down to 100." "Hmm? The 700K is allocated to be distributed over the seasons." The person I was talking to mentioned that the amount allocated to the Koreans is confirmed, and it's not all being distributed this season but rather spread out. "Then communicate that! Not everyone understands it that way!" And what about the 500 people?" "Was that 500 really communicated officially?" "Yes, you mentioned that in your official Korean channel!" After discussing this, I don't know what area the person in charge is responsible for, but I asked them to convey the relevant information. It seems that the communication between the Korean official Telegram and the headquarters was somewhat off. So, I went back to find the announcement in the @SonicLabs Korean Telegram group and connected with that person to share the relevant materials. Honestly, personally, if they just distribute the rewards to 100 people, my reward would actually be larger. So, I don't have a reason to make a fuss about this. However, I have my assets in Sonic and am operating them, and I want to avoid unnecessary misunderstandings. I also hope that those Koreans who worked hard until the end won't miss out on rewards, so I brought this up. I don't know if the announced matters will change because of this. But ultimately, it is true that we need to go directly and voice our concerns. Also, the information I heard offline is not officially announced, so if the above is correct, there is a possibility that the remaining Korean allocation will be distributed in the monthly leaderboard starting from October 1st, so I plan to further inform about the Sonic ecosystem on a monthly basis.
